Jason Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Jason began their career at ISO in 1993, where they served as a Senior Business Associate and later as a Senior Business Analyst. During this time, they managed databases, created actuarial data products, and oversaw actuarial pricing analyses and research.

In 2012, Jason joined Yesmail as a Business Analyst, where they designed APIs, facilitated communication between Product and IT teams, and created requirements documents.

In 2013, Jason joined Verisk as a Business Systems Consultant, leading a team in rewriting actuarial systems and databases. Jason later held positions as Director of Analytical Asset Enrichment, Senior Director of Analytical Data Management, and Senior Director of Strategic Data Management. In these roles, they oversaw large-scale development efforts, implemented organizational structures, and promoted best practices in data management and analytics.

Most recently, Jason joined AIPSO in 2023 as a Data Analytics Program Manager.

Jason Smith attended Yale University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a B.A. degree in Mathematics and Music. In terms of additional certifications, they acquired the CIDM (Certified Insurance Data Manager) from the Insurance Data Management Association in August 2010. Additionally, in the same month and year, they obtained the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) certification from the CPCU Society. Later, in April 2012, they received the Agile CSM (Certified Scrum Master) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
