Mike Hirsch is a Senior Lead Materials Engineer at Air Force Research Laboratory with extensive experience in structural metals, adhesives, and composites. Mike leads a team of approximately 25 individuals and is involved in failure analysis, new technology evaluation, and manufacturing process improvement. Prior to their current role, Mike worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on materials characterization and modeling. Mike holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, along with a MSME and BSME from the same institution and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, respectively.
