Roy Canavan

Roy Canavan is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in aircraft maintenance and management. Currently serving as a B1 Licenced Engineer and Base Maintenance Mechanic at AirTanker since April 2015, Roy has extensive expertise in scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, component replacements, and structural repairs. Previously, Roy spent 25 years with the Royal Air Force, where roles included C-17 Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization Subject Matter Expert, VC10 Rectification Flight Manager, and VC10 Line/RF Shift Manager, overseeing maintenance operations for various aircraft types and managing large teams. Roy's education includes technical training at RAF Cosford and RAF Halton, complemented by foundational education at Tawd Vale High School.
