Homeowners can use our device to see if they are at risk for high radon exposure. Radon is a radioactive gas that seeps into the foundation of many homes.An estimated 20,000 people die from radon exposure every year, and it is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. Airthings also aims to replace traditional charcoal detection devices that are cumbersome, need to measure for months, and then have be sent to a lab to obtain any results. They also differentiate themselves from their competitors in better build quality and design. Airthings is based in Oslo, Norway. However, most customers are in the United States and Canada.
