Axel Follmann has a diverse work experience, starting in 2005 at RWTH Aachen University where they worked as a Research Associate and later became a Teamleader for Smart Instruments. Axel then moved on to Irmato Industrial Solutions in 2011, where they served as a System Designer and Team Manager for Mechanical Development. Since 2014, they have been working at AIXTRON SE, initially as a Team Manager in Core Engineering and currently holds the position of Senior Manager in Technology Development.
Axel Follmann obtained their Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from RWTH Aachen University, which they pursued from 1999 to 2005. Subsequently, they went on to pursue further education at the same university and obtained a Dr.-Ing. degree in Maschinenbau from 2006 to 2011.
