Edward Clerkx has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Edward started their career at Philips in 1996 as a Mechanical Engineer and eventually became a Design Coordinator, working there until 2007. Edward then joined OTB Solar, where they held various roles including Project Manager, Program Manager, and Development Manager from 2007 to 2014. Following that, they worked as a Business Unit Manager at Roth & Rau BV from 2014 to 2015, and then at Meyer Burger (Netherlands) B.V. from 2015 to 2018. In 2019, they joined APEVA SE as a Director of Technology Development, and later became the Managing Director. Most recently, they joined AIXTRON SE in 2023 as the Vice President of Engineering.

Edward Clerkx attended St. Ursula from 1985 to 1992, where they pursued a VWO degree. Following that, they studied Mechanical Engineering at Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 1992 to 1996, earning an Ing. degree.
