Marcel Damen has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Marcel began their career at Philips Research in 1994 as a Test Engineer and later worked at Philips Components as a Factory Engineer. In 2000, they became a Process Engineer at Philips PolyLED and was later promoted to Reliability Engineer at Philips Extreme UV GmbH in 2005. In 2011, they joined Xtremetec GmbH as a Project Leader and then moved to ASML in 2013 as a Team Leader. In 2014, they transitioned to Aixtron as a Team Leader in System Engineering until 2017. Marcel then joined Apeva in 2017 as a Team Leader in System Engineering. Currently, they are working as a Department Manager in System Engineering at AIXTRON SE since February 2019.

Marcel Damen completed their education in a chronological order. From 1988 to 1992, they attended Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued Applied Physics as their field of study. Subsequently, between 2000 and 2002, Marcel enrolled at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Business Engineering (HTS). Finally, in 2014 and 2015, they attended IPMA-C @ Cito Certification B.V. to obtain their IPMA C certification in Project Management.
