Michael Mouchametai

Michael Mouchametai has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael has worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Aker Systems since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at wejo as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they led a team in the egress department, managed transformation projects, and automated processes resulting in cost savings. Michael also worked as a Junior DevOps Engineer at PrettyLittleThing.com, where they delivered technical solutions and supported the product development lifecycle.

Before their DevOps roles, Michael worked as a Database Administrator at CDL Software, where they built and supported databases in hybrid environments. Michael also worked at HellermannTyton United Kingdom as part of the quality control team and at Missguided providing IT support.

Additionally, Michael has the background of working in logistics and warehouse management in the Greek Army. Michael has also gained experience through internships and positions at Genesis, Technological Educational Institute of Crete, and PASIPHAE Lab, where they worked in technical support, network administration, and network engineering roles respectively.

Michael Mouchametai received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. In 2010, they participated in a seminar on "Digital Modulation - DVB & Optical Communications" at the University of Applied Sciences FH-Dusseldorf in the department of Multimedia and Electrical Engineering. From 2008 to 2009, Michael took the Test of English for International Communication. In 2006 and 2007, they obtained the European Computer Driving License (ECDL) with a focus on Advanced Microsoft User. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education in the technological field at the 4TH RHODIAN LYCEUM from 2004 to 2007, specializing in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Mouchametai obtained several certifications. In October 2017, they completed the course "Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop I." offered by Oracle. In June 2017, they obtained the certification for "Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I," also from Oracle. In January 2021, they earned the certification of "Associate Cloud Engineer" from Google Cloud. In October 2020, Michael achieved the "HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate" certification from HashiCorp. Michael also holds the "AWS Certified Developer – Associate" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in May 2019. In August 2018, they completed the "AWS Cloud Practitioner" certification, also from Amazon Web Services.
