Manabu Washio

Manabu is Head of Aksia Asia in Tokyo and has over 36 years of experience in capital markets, derivatives and alternative investments. He oversees the advisory, research and operational work performed in Aksia’s Asia offices. Manabu focuses on portfolio governance, strategy allocation, portfolio construction, and supports the ongoing management of alternative investment programs in Asia.

Prior to joining Aksia, Manabu was a Managing Director in the Equity Sales & Trading department of Morgan Stanley Tokyo. He also worked for Credit Suisse First Boston Tokyo Financial Products, where he focused on developing derivative products for institutional investors. Manabu started his career in 1985 at Daiwa Securities Japan.

Manabu graduated from the University of Oregon with a BBA in Finance and Marketing and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
