Michael Hellemann Soerensen has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Michael began their career in 1998 at Novo Nordisk A/S, where they held various leadership positions in supply management, sourcing, procurement, and purchasing. Michael then moved to Bayer, where they served as the SVP and Head of Commercial Operations for EMEA/LATAM, CAS, and later as the CPO and SVP of Global Head of Procurement & Trading. After that, they joined Covestro as the SVP and Head of Sales & Market Development for EMEA/LATAM, CAS, and subsequently as the SVP of Commercial Operations for the same region. Michael then joined Aurubis as the SVP Commercial, responsible for procurement of raw materials and sales of all Aurubis products. Michael'smost recent position is with AkzoNobel, where they are currently serving as the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer).
