Simon Turner

Simon Turner is the managing partner at Alacrita Consulting. Prior to this, they were the head of UK life-science investments at ANGLE Technology Ltd from May 2005 to May 2007. From April 2009 to December 2010, they served as a non-executive director at Green Biologics Limited.

Green Biologics is a VC-funded renewable chemicals company focused on developing and delivering new green alternatives for everyday products, providing customers with more sustainable and higher value products compared to petroleum-based alternatives. Its world-class technology platform is built on both biology and chemistry founded on core expertise in advanced Clostridium microbial fermentation. This platform converts a wide range of sustainable feedstocks into high value green chemicals including n-butanol, acetone and, through chemical synthesis, derivatives for downstream formulations. These renewable chemicals are designed to be used in a wide range of industrial and consumer applications including:

Simon Turner has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge. Simon also went to Ranelagh School in Bracknell.
