Lauren Baranco

Lauren Baranco is an experienced professional in public health and policy, currently serving as a Program Services Coordinator in Health Equity Policy & Planning at the Alameda County Public Health Department since October 2010. Previously, Lauren held various roles, including Program Specialist at the Department of Children and Family Services and Program Associate with the New Beginnings Program. Earlier experience includes serving as a Program Assistant at EveryOne Home and a Planning Intern at the Association of Bay Area Governments. In the political arena, Lauren worked as Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff for New York State Assembly member Karim Camara and served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Karim Camara's campaign. Lauren began a career in public service as a Guggenheim Summer Intern with Citizens for NYC. Education includes a Master of Public Administration in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Columbia University.
