Mahmoud Omar has a diverse work experience in the field of media and journalism. Mahmoud started their career as a Freelance Journalist at Radio Netherlands Worldwide in September 2011 and continued until August 2013. After that, they worked as a Freelance Writer at Assafir Newspaper from January 2012 to October 2014. In 2012, Mahmoud also worked as a Freelance Writer at Al Modon from January 2012 to August 2013. Moving forward, they joined Alaraby Television Network where they held various roles. Mahmoud began as a News Producer from June 2015 to March 2018, followed by Acting Output Editor from March 2018 to December 2018. Mahmoud then served as a News Duty Editor from January 2019 to September 2020, before becoming the Output Manager from September 2020 to October 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of News at Alaraby Television Network starting from October 2022.
Mahmoud Omar completed their Bachelor's degree in International Politics from City, University of London, from 2013 to 2016. Mahmoud then pursued a Master of Science degree in Political Sociology from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) between 2016 and 2018.

Alaraby TV Network is home to a team of talented and experienced youth professionals in a variety of TV news and entertainment backgrounds. They are the link between the viewer and the screen. The network aims to present, in itself, an example of the media outlet that respects the viewer and enriches the Arab media scene, for a better Arab future.
