Daryl M. Lamson serves as a Research Scientist and Assistant Director of the Research and Development Group at the Viral Diseases Laboratory within the New York State Department of Health since November 2002. Concurrently, Daryl holds the position of Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Albany Medical Center, performing testing in the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory. Additionally, Daryl has been an Influenza Laboratory Technical Consultant with the Association of Public Health Laboratories since March 2010, conducting international laboratory assessments and providing technical assistance in various areas of laboratory practices. Daryl also shares expertise as a Global Health Securities Laboratory Technical Consultant. Prior experience includes serving as a Medical Technologist at Albany Medical Center, specializing in HIV/HCV viral load testing and molecular assays. Daryl M. Lamson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1997.
