Chris George has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2001, they joined the Canadian Red Cross as a Manager of Community Programs, and stayed in this position until 2007. From there, they transitioned to the Alberta Ballet School, where they served as the Managing Director until 2015. In 2015, they took on the role of President and CEO at Alberta Ballet Canada, where they are currently employed.

Chris George obtained a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from the University of Calgary from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, Chris has obtained several certifications in various fields, including Forecasting Skills, Refugees in the 21st Century, Child Protection at the IFRC, Driving business towards the Sustainable Development Goals, Futures Thinking, Health in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies, Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention, Introduction to International Humanitarian Law, Respect in the Workplace, and RespectEd Violence and Abuse Prevention.
