Gerald Sim

Gerald Sim is an experienced DevOps Engineer currently employed at Alcidion since November 2019, with a robust background in cloud and technical services. Previously, Gerald served as a Cloud Consultant at Comunet, where successful proposals to obtain AWS EdStart funding enabled a client's cloud migration and enhanced deployment of WordPress Multisite sites. A former Senior Cloud Engineer at 5G Networks Ltd, Gerald contributed to the establishment of a cloud enablement team post-acquisition of Hostworks, and held the role of Technical Service Manager, overseeing service delivery and incident management. Gerald has extensive expertise in Linux and cloud environments, having worked at various companies including Inabox Group Limited, Hostworks, and Ufinity Pte Ltd, where critical projects involved deploying hosting solutions, providing technical leadership, and managing high-pressure incidents. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Curtin University and a Diploma in Digital Media Design from Nanyang Polytechnic.
