Maggie

Maggie Ma is a scientist with extensive experience in neurodegenerative disease research and drug delivery systems. Currently at Alector since February 2022, Maggie leads the development of new animal models to support studies on proof of concept, mechanism of action, and efficacy. Prior positions include Scientist II at Corium International, where responsibilities involved conducting preclinical projects related to PK studies and drug safety. Maggie also held roles as Principal Scientist/Group Leader at HD Biosciences and Angecon Biotechnology, focusing on stem cell research and laboratory setup. Early career work included a postdoctoral role at the Institute of Neuroscience, where research centered on dendrite development and synaptic protein expression. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a BS in Biology from Beijing Normal University.
