MacKenzie King

Mackenzie King is an experienced meteorologist currently serving as the Intelligence Systems & Solutions Manager and Senior Meteorologist at AlertMedia, where innovation at the intersection of open source intelligence and technology is a focus. Mackenzie has a strong background in forecasting and analyzing global weather and natural hazards, providing actionable insights to clients and the public. Previous roles include Meteorologist and Global Weather Analyst, and a position at Early Alert Inc. where tailored weather forecasts were developed for corporate clients. Additional experience includes serving as a Contract Weather Observer for the Federal Aviation Administration and founding a weather forecasting website, Backyard Weather. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from North Carolina State University and an Associate of Science from Vance-Granville Community College.
