As director of commercial real estate lending, Andrew Meelberg oversees the commercial real estate (CRE) lending team, guides the CRE lending strategy, and oversees the CRE loan investment portfolio. Under Andy’s leadership, the CRE lending team works directly with local, regional, and national clients engaged in the ownership and development of CRE properties to deliver flexible and creative financing solutions.
Andy joined Alerus in March 2022, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, primarily in the Twin Cities market. He specializes in investor/developer real estate with a primary focus on multifamily, medical-office, senior housing, industrial, retail, office, and hospitality.
Before joining Alerus, Andy worked in commercial real estate lending at Bremer Bank for seven years, serving most recently as the Twin Cities commercial real estate market manager. He previously held roles including vice president of commercial real estate at Great Southern Bank and BMO/M&I.
Andy is a member of NAIOP and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management and finance from Augsburg University in Minneapolis.
