Chris Wolf has served as president of the Northern Valley market since July 2010. He manages five branches in Grand Forks and Northwood, N.D. He joined Alerus in January 2010 as a relationship manager and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. In addition to his relationship manager role, his career includes positions as an auditor, manager, commercial underwriter, controller, and chief financial officer.
His diverse experience is helpful in his role as market president, a role in which he leads new business development and works with sales staff, financial advisors, product specialists, retail market managers, and business advisors. He is also responsible for managing customer service and retention. A great listener, Chris knows that every customer is different and there is no “one size fits all” solution for everyone.
Chris received a degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota. He is a certified public accountant and is a member of the North Dakota Society of CPAs. He currently serves on the advisory board of the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation as well as the Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals. He is a past board member of the Chamber of Commerce Grand Forks/East Grand Forks, and served as the chairman of the board and on its executive committee. He is also a past board member of The Community Foundation of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, and Region.
A native of Grand Forks, Chris continues to live there with his wife, Holly, and his four children, Keaton, Georgia, Maguire, and Chandler.
