Michelle Tichy

Michelle Tichy serves as a Faculty of Psychology at Alfred University since August 2023. With extensive experience in higher education, Michelle has held positions as SIG Leader at the American Educational Research Association since 2003, and as Contributing Faculty at the University of Saint Augustine for Health Care Sciences from January 2019 to August 2023, where responsibilities included serving as a dissertation chair. Previous roles include Adjunct Instructor at the University of Central Florida and Adjunct Professor at Rollins College from August 2018 to August 2023, Assistant Professor at the University of La Verne from August 2016 to July 2018, and Assistant Professor at the University of Northern Iowa from August 2010 to August 2016, specializing in Educational Psychology and Foundations. Additionally, Michelle was an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at St. Norbert College and served as a Consultant with ARISE Life Skills Foundation, focusing on life skills training for at-risk youth. Michelle holds a PhD in Educational Psychology with a focus on Social Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a degree from Oberlin College.
