Toby Xu has been chief financial officer and head of strategic investments since April 2022. He joined Alibaba Group in July 2018 and was our deputy chief financial officer from July 2019 to March 2022.
Before joining Alibaba Group, Toby was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 11 years, where he joined in 1996.
Toby currently serves as a non-executive director of Lianhua Supermarket Holdings Co., Ltd., a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Toby graduated from Fudan University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in physics. He is a member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
