Michel Verstraeten

Michel Verstraeten is a seasoned academic and administrative leader with extensive experience in higher education and healthcare. Since January 2011, Michel has served as Vice-Rector at Université libre de Bruxelles, overseeing financial and real estate resources while also acting as Deputy to the Chairman of the Board, focusing on human resources management, well-being, social dialogue, and internal organization. In addition, Michel has been engaged in academic policy and diversity initiatives as Vice-Rector for Academic Policy. Concurrently, Michel leads as President of the Board at Hôpital Erasme - Cliniques Universitaires de Bruxelles since March 2021 and holds a professorship in HR management and organizational behavior at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management since 2002. Michel also has a long-standing role as President and Administrator at CFIP and serves as Delegate Administrator at Alice Editions since 2015. Michel's academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Management Sciences and a Master's in Human Resources Management, alongside an earlier degree in Management from Solvay Brussels School.
