Uriel Barron

Uriel Barron serves as a Senior Algorithms Engineer at Align Technology since May 2022, focusing on deep learning-based computer vision projects encompassing 2D and 3D object detection, segmentation, out-of-distribution image detection, and novel class discovery, alongside multi-view geometry and 3D reconstruction methods. Prior experience includes a role as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Israeli Military Intelligence from November 2015 to December 2021, where Uriel developed multimodal dense registration methods for aerial imagery and a large-scale image registration pipeline, as well as algorithms for detecting clouds in satellite images and satellite mission planning. Uriel has also interned at CERN as a Summer Student in 2015. Uriel holds a Master of Science in Physics from Tel Aviv University and multiple Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Physics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and Psagot.
