Derek Carroll is an experienced professional with a diverse background in business development, sales, and leadership across various industries. Currently serving as Captain at Barton & Gray Mariners Club since May 2023, Derek has also been the President and Founder of ALINE Systems since 2006, focusing on enhancing performance and health for individuals through innovative movement solutions. Previous roles include Vice President of Business Development at Integrated Fuel Cell Technology, where MEMs based fuel cell designs were developed for portable electronics, and Senior Vice President of Business Development at Andover.Net, where Derek played a key role in building a four-million-member Open Source software developer community leading to an IPO in 2000. Additional experience encompasses leadership positions at Silent Systems/Molex, where Derek contributed to the rapid growth of a startup into a leading OEM supplier, and MicroTouch Systems/3M, where contributions to the touch screens and tablets sector led to a successful IPO. Derek holds a BA in Management and Technology from Clark University.
