Mark O'Dwyer has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Mark started their career at Energy Australia as an Engineer in 2007 and later worked as an Energy Trading Analyst and Senior Energy Trading Analyst. In 2010, they became the Forecasting Operations Manager before moving to Origin Energy in 2011. At Origin Energy, they held positions as the Risk Strategy Manager, Risk Operations & Analysis Manager, and Manager of Market Risk. In 2013, they joined Alinta Energy as the Group Energy Risk Manager and later became the Group Risk Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Risk Officer at Alinta Energy.
Mark O'Dwyer's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons 1), both obtained from the University of Wollongong in 1999-2003. Mark then pursued a PhD in Physics at the same university from 2004-2006. Later, Mark completed an MBA degree at the University of Wollongong in 2004-2008. In 2008-2009, they attended PRMIA for a PRM degree, followed by GARP in 2009-2010 where they obtained an ERP degree.
