Marian Castro Labrada

Marian Castro Labrada is an experienced Associate Scientist at Alkahest, Inc., with a focus on the development of innovative therapeutics for neuropathic pain. Since joining the company in March 2016, Marian has led the Nerve Injury Program and managed pre-clinical studies while successfully developing various animal models for drug testing. Prior to this role, Marian held positions at the University of Guelph and the Centre of Pharmaceutical Research and Development, where extensive research was conducted on social behavior and neuropathic pain. Marian also has a strong academic background, holding a Master of Science in Pharmacology and a Bachelor in Science in Biology from the University of Havana, complemented by practical teaching experience.
