Jae Kwon has a strong background in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Jae is currently serving as the President of Interchain Foundation since March 2017, where they are focused on addressing the issue of interoperability between different cryptocurrency platforms.
Prior to this, Jae Kwon founded and served as the CEO of Tendermint from April 2014, where they implemented the first Byzantine fault-tolerant blockchain consensus algorithm and created an open-source blockchain platform that simplifies application development.
In 2013, Jae Kwon made significant contributions as a co-developer of Scramble.io, an open-source project for end-to-end encrypted email, where they developed a notary system to map human-friendly names to public key hashes.
Before that, Jae Kwon co-founded iDoneThis in 2011, where they developed a logbook to track daily activities and an email parsing engine. Jae also worked as a developer at Flywheel Networks from 2009 to 2010.
Jae Kwon's career began at Yelp in 2007, where they served as the Lead Mobile Developer and played a key role in developing and launching the Yelp iPhone app. Jae also worked on backend development tasks.
At Alexa Internet, Jae Kwon worked as a Webservices Engineer from 2005 to 2007, where they developed and maintained the Alexa Web Search Platform and created the Alexa Web Thumbnail Service.
From 2001 to 2005, Jae Kwon attended Cornell University where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
