Katie Champion Riley

Vice President of Communications at Alliance for Aging Research

Katie Champion Riley has over 18 years of experience in communications and media. Katie has held various roles in the field, starting in 2004 as a Staff Writer/Reporter at The Gazette. Katie then became a Copy Editor and Managing Editor at the same company, where they managed reporters and columnists to produce two weekly newspapers and online content, as well as designed print edition pages in Quark XPress and coordinated editorial content for the community, religion and health calendars. In 2011, Riley moved to AOTA, where they held the positions of Assistant Director of Communications & Media and Manager of Media & Public Relations. Currently, they are the Vice President of Communications at the Alliance for Aging Research, a role they have held since 2022.

Katie Champion Riley graduated from McDaniel College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Journalism & Business Administration.
