Amy Alessio is an accomplished content creator and author with extensive experience in library sciences and literature. Currently serving as a Content Creator at Allied Vaughn since February 2022, Amy has also been the owner of Amy Alessio, LLC since November 2009, presenting over 200 programs focusing on Vintage Cookbooks & Crafts and Readers Advisory topics. In addition to reviewing adult mysteries and romance for Booklist since June 2011, Amy has contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member at Dominican University since July 2016, teaching Young Adult literature and Collection Management. With a background as a Teen Librarian at Schaumburg Township District Library from August 2000 to August 2015 and as a reviewer for Teenreads.com, Amy has developed strong expertise in teen services and readers advisory. Amy holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a focus on Statistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
