Allied Vision
Jens Petersen is a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer currently employed at Allied Vision since August 2023, specializing in 2D and 3D camera systems. Previously, Jens served as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Cognex Corporation from January 2015 to June 2023, contributing to various Cognex products such as the Insight 3800 Smart Camera and the 3D A5000. Jens's early career includes a role as a Mechanical Engineer at EnShape GmbH, where design work for 3D Snapshot systems took place, and as a part-time development engineer at GRINTECH GmbH while pursuing education in mechanical engineering. Jens holds a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Technology and Production Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from Ernst Abbe Hochschule Jena.
