Rey Faustino has a long and varied work experience. In 2001, they were Co-Executive Director of Troy Camp. From 2003 to 2005, they were an English Teacher at Hachiouji School in Tokyo, Japan. Rey then served as Site Director and Incubator Manager at BUILD from 2005 to 2007. After that, they were a Youth Facilitator and Rap Director at College Summit from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, they were an Education Pioneers Graduate School Fellow at Highland Street Foundation. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Member of the Board of Directors at St. Anthony Foundation. Since 2020, they have been the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy & Impact Officer at Alluma, as well as the CEO and Founder of One Degree, Inc., a nonprofit technology-driven organization that is revolutionizing the way striving families access social services and benefits.

Rey Faustino attended the Harvard Kennedy School from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Public Policy degree in Social & Urban Policy. Rey then attended Y Combinator in 2014, where they were part of the W14 cohort. Prior to that, they attended the University of Southern California from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Entrepreneurship.
