John was most recently CEO of Imanis Data, a backup and data management company for NoSQL and Hadoop platforms that he sold to Cohesity in May 2019. Previously, John was CEO of NetSeer, a Machine Learning based Ad Tech company that John sold to Inuvo in 2017. John joined NetSeer from Shopping.com, where he ran the company's ad network, business development, and merchant sales as VP and general manager of distributed commerce. Before that he managed ad products as VP of advertising products at Yahoo. Earlier in his career, he was president of AdKnowledge and held executive posts at Apple and as an EIR at Adobe. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT. And back in the Jurassic Era of video games, John programmed the Atari Game Phoenix for the Atari 2600 system.
