Lilli Saarinen

Lilli Saarinen is a data scientist at Alma Media Corporation since January 2017, with a strong background in bioinformatics and data analysis. Previous roles include researcher at the University of Helsinki, focusing on the genetic background of gastrointestinal cancer using high-throughput genome-scale methods, and researcher at the University of Turku, where Lilli implemented analysis pipelines for transcriptomics data. Additional experience includes roles as a research assistant at Stockholm University, the University of Helsinki, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and The Finnish Forest Research Institute, addressing various aspects of molecular biology and bioinformatics. Lilli holds a Ph.D. in bioinformatics from the University of Helsinki, an M.Sc. in computer science from the University of Turku, and a B.Eng. in biotechnology from the Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Technology.
