Christopher Hughes

Christopher Hughes, CSP, serves as the EHS Program Lead at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since July 2019, overseeing Environmental Health and Safety for two oligonucleotide manufacturing sites in Massachusetts while also supporting EHS functions at the corporate level. Previous experience includes roles as a Sr. EHS Specialist at Alnylam, Assistant Director of the Occupational Safety Program at Northeastern University, and EHS Consultant/Project Manager at OccuHealth Inc. Christopher has a comprehensive background in EHS management, including industrial hygiene, ergonomic evaluations, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Educational qualifications include a BS in Safety Studies from Keene State College and ongoing studies for an MBA at East Carolina University, set to complete in June 2028.
