Timothy Rubel

Teaching Artist at Alonzo King LINES Ballet

Timothy Rubel is a seasoned dance professional with extensive experience in contemporary dance. Since April 2013, Timothy has served as a Teaching Artist for Alonzo King LINES Ballet, where involvement includes both outreach programs and guest teaching at LINES Dance Center. As the Choreographer and Artistic Director of Tim Rubel Human Shakes since March 2010, Timothy leads a San Francisco-based contemporary dance project. Additional experience includes performing as a dancer in "The Tempest" at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in 2014, as well as lecturing in dance at San Francisco State University. Timothy’s dance career began with a role as a dancer at Fusionworks Dance Company from 2004 to 2007. Timothy holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Choreography from the University of California, Riverside, obtained between 2007 and 2009.
