Ming Yang

Ming Yang is a highly experienced engineer specializing in system engineering and integrated circuit design. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at Alphawave Semi since April 2022, responsibilities include system modeling/simulation for 100G and 200G SerDes, algorithm development for compliance tests, and post-FEC BER analysis. Prior to this role, Ming worked at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. as an Associate System Engineer, focusing on 200G wireline system modeling and global transceiver optimization. Ming also has experience in academia, having lectured at the University of Toronto and served as a research assistant and teaching assistant at McGill University and Xiamen University. Ming holds a PhD in Integrated Circuit Design from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McGill University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Xiamen University.
