Jan Grooten

Jan Grooten is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in electronics and hardware development, particularly in Bluetooth technologies. Since September 2017, Jan has served as a Field Application Engineer at Altium®, focusing on customer engagement and addressing technical challenges. Prior to this role, Jan held significant positions including Senior Electronic Design Engineer at Plantronics, where hardware product development for Bluetooth headsets was a key responsibility, and System Engineer Electronics at Tonalite, specializing in miniaturized hardware platforms for Bluetooth products. Jan's early career includes pivotal roles as a Hardware System Engineer at Sony Ericsson, leading various Bluetooth headset projects, and as an Electronic Design Engineer at Ericsson, contributing to the RF circuit design of the first-ever Bluetooth headset. Jan holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Twente and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Windesheim.
