Aleksey Lekontsev has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Aleksey is currently an entrepreneur and serves as the DPO at their own company, DPO Aleksey Lekontsev, which they established in 2021. Before this, Aleksey worked at Altoros as the CIO, DPO, and DevOps Resource Manager, where they were responsible for managing 24/7 Managed Services and overseeing the company's partnerships, including Microsoft Silver/Gold Certification and Eucalyptus Cloud Platform Consulting/System Integration Partnership. Aleksey joined Altoros in 2011 and played a key role in the organization's growth and development.
Prior to joining Altoros, Aleksey was involved with FinOps Foundation from 2019 onwards. Aleksey also worked at IT Consult as the Deputy Manager from 2009 to 2011. In this role, they implemented ITSM processes, built department structures, and managed IT financial management and budgeting activities.
Aleksey's previous experience includes working at Priorbank JSC as an IT Architect/Project Manager, where they led projects related to data center consolidation and IT infrastructure planning. Aleksey served as a System Administrator at Belarus trade and manufacturing company AITIN with Uyut retailers, where they gained hands-on experience in systems administration. Aleksey also worked as an Information Security Officer at Belaya Rus, where they were responsible for project management, IT infrastructure rebuilding, and the deployment and support of information security systems.
Early in their career, Aleksey held positions at JSC Infobank/Trastbank and Belarusbank as a Lead System Engineer, where they focused on hardware and software deployment and support. Aleksey began their professional journey as an Engineer at Lintec Computer Belarus, a branch of Lintec Computer GMBH (Germany).
Aleksey Lekontsev attended the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Specialist degree in Radioengineering. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. These include certifications in Attention Mechanism, Introduction to Generative AI, and Introduction to Large Language Models, all obtained from Google Cloud Skills Boost in May 2023. Aleksey also holds a certification in Security Development Lifecycle 101 from SAFECode.org, obtained in July 2021. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications in AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2021, GDPR Data Privacy Professional from DPO LLC in April 2018, Associated Coach ICU from Coaching Institute ICU (Coaching Center ICU) in March 2013, and Adizes TOP LeaF from the Adizes Institute in October 2010.
