Richard is a member of the Altos investment team. Prior to joining Altos, he was the CFO of Coupang, an ecommerce company based in Korea. Prior to Coupang, Richard was the CFO of Hi-Dis, Inc., a manufacturer of mobile components. Before returning to Korea, he was the Head of Asia M&A for Siemens AG based in Hong Kong and Beijing. Richard began his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in New York and Tokyo. Richard received his MBA from The Wharton School and earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
