Alexandra N. Lenz is a prominent academic in the field of linguistics, currently serving as the Director of the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage (ACDH-CH) since January 2020. Lenz has been a Speaker for the SFB 'German in Austria. Variation - Contact - Perception' since January 2016 and a Professor at the University of Vienna since September 2010, specializing in Variationist Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Dialectology, Syntax, Phonology, and Semantics. In addition, Lenz holds a position as a Coopted Professor at the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas and previously served as Deputy Director at the ACDH from April 2018 to December 2019. Lenz's earlier career includes being a Rosalind Franklin Fellow at the University of Groningen from May 2008 to June 2010. Academic qualifications include a 1. Staatsexamen in Germanistik and Mathematik from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
