Lukas Duffner

Project Officer at Alzheimer Europe

Lukas Duffner is a dedicated researcher with significant experience in neuropsychology and neuroepidemiology. Currently serving as a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher at Alzheimer Centrum Limburg, Lukas is focused on studying the connections between lifestyle factors and dementia as part of the "The Curious Brain" project. Additionally, Lukas works as a Project Officer at Alzheimer Europe, supporting various EU initiatives, including AD-RIDDLE and AI4HOPE. Previous roles include a Visiting PhD Student at The University of Edinburgh, Lecturer at Leiden University, and Research Assistant at the University of Groningen, where research projects in traffic psychology were executed. Lukas also has practical experience as a Paramedic with the German Red Cross and has completed internships in neuropsychology at Kliniken Schmieder and University Hospital Freiburg. Currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroepidemiology at Maastricht University, educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology from Leiden University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Groningen.
