Mathias Smyser is an accomplished procurement professional with extensive experience in category strategy and supplier relationship management. Currently serving as the Head of Supplier Category Strategy and SRM for Amazon Global Travel and Events since April 2019, Mathias oversees all category strategy and supplier relationships. Prior roles at Amazon include Sr Corporate Procurement Manager and Global Category Manager, focusing on travel and HR services. Before Amazon, Mathias worked at Dentsply Sirona from April 2014 to April 2019 as Senior Indirect Global Category Manager, managing numerous global categories including corporate real estate and professional services, as well as holding the titles of Global Category Manager and Indirect Category Manager. Earlier experience includes positions at Armstrong World Industries as Associate Commodity Manager and Business Analyst in the supply chain. Mathias holds an M.B.A. in Continuous Improvement and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
