Bob Kunz is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the design and architecture of high-performance, low-power AI systems at Ambarella Inc since October 2004, currently serving as Chief Architect. Kunz has successfully led the architecture for three generations of AI systems, improving performance by 20 times, and previously held roles including Senior Director of Architecture and Director of Architecture, where significant contributions included the development of CVFlow, next-generation image processing, and video compression co-processors. Kunz holds a PhD and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University, complemented by early experience as an intern at Hewlett-Packard.
