Fábio Barbosa is a member of the boards of Itaú-Unibanco, CBMM (Brazilian Metallurgy and Mining Company), Natura Cosméticos, Hering, member of the Investment Committee of Gávea Investimentos one of the leading ESG specialists in Brazil. Fábio has been president of Banco Real and Santander. Banco ABN Amro Real since 1996 and, in 2008, with the acquisition of Banco Real by Santander, he became president of Santander Brasil. From 2007 to 2011, he was also president of Febraban. Between 2011 and the beginning of 2015, he was president of Abril Mídia. Currently, Fábio is also president of Fundação Itaú; member of the Boards of Instituto Empreender Endeavor, of the Center for Public Leadership (CLP), and of the UN Foundation, to support the UN. In 2011, he was recognized as Personality of the Year by the United States Chamber of Commerce in New York. In 2012, he received the Champions of the Earth award, granted by UNEP (United Nations Environmental Program), for his business vision. And in 2017, it was recognized by Worldfund for Education for bringing the theme of values to the forefront of the discussion. Fábio holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo and an MBA from the Institute for Management Development (IMD), in Lausanne, Switzerland
