Mrs. Matos received a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1998, a PhD in physics and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005 and was a teaching assistant and research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2005.
