Jon F. R. Barrett

Jon F. R. Barrett is an experienced professional in maternal-fetal medicine with a career spanning several significant roles in academia and healthcare. Currently, Jon serves as a member of the Maternal Mortality Review Committee for the Ontario Government and is part of the clinical leadership team at AMC Health, focusing on enhancing virtual healthcare for improved patient outcomes. Jon also holds a consulting position at Deloitte and has been a professor at McMaster University since February 2021. Previously, Jon was the Vice Chair of Quality at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto and the Waks Chair of Research at the Women and Babies Program. Jon's extensive tenure at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre included serving as the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division Chief. Jon's educational background features multiple degrees in medicine, including a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle and advanced qualifications such as FRCSC and FRCOG.
