Janet Vaughan

Janet Vaughan has a strong background in museum management and membership. Janet started their career as a Director at the Wornall House Museum in 1979 and later served as the Executive Director at the Jackson County Historical Society from 1985 to 1987. Janet then joined the Johnson County Museums as the Director from 1987 to 2000. Vaughan's most recent positions include Senior Director of Member Services and later Vice President of Membership & Excellence at the American Alliance of Museums. Their final role at the organization was Vice President of Membership & Programs, a position they held from 2015 onwards.

Janet Vaughan obtained their master's degree in History from the University of Missouri-Kansas City between 1977 and 1981.
