Our company was founded in 1997 by Dean Winegardner, who continues to serve as our CEO & Chairman. After operating a chain of 100+ bookstores for several years, Dean set out to form a wholesale Bargain Book business that had a steady and robust supply forged by strong relationships with the world’s top publishers. Being a retailer, he also knew what value-added services his customers yearned for and hired the most talented group of successful women and men assembled in the industry to innovate, serve & achieve new standards.

ABC offers high-quality titles, including many former bestsellers, at prices up to 90% off Publisher’s Retail. Each week, our inventory is added to and replenished by the hundreds, so our customers always have access to bestselling books from the world’s top authors.

We offer several formats including children’s picture flats & board books, hardcover novels, trade paper, mass-market paperback, and coffee table books. We also have our own children’s educational curriculum line and an adult puzzle book program. All of this adds up to an inventory of over 12,000 titles to choose from!

We source our books primarily from leading publishers such as Penguin Random House, Harper Collins, Hachette Book Group, Simon & Schuster, Perseus, and St. Martin’s Press, as well as dozens of other small publishers & distributors. We have a variety of customers including bookstores, supermarkets, drug and dollar stores, book fairs, discount chains, colleges, and more.
