Magnus Palmblad

Magnus Palmblad is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in molecular biotechnology and proteomics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Group Leader at Leiden University Medical Center since September 2007, Magnus has also taken on roles as Co-Head of Node at ELIXIR-NL since February 2025, and as Associate Editor and Topic Editor for the Journal of Proteome Research since September 2021. Previous positions include Senior Research Fellow at The University of Reading, Postdoctoral Research Associate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and doctoral research at Uppsala University, where Magnus earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biotechnology. Educational credentials include an M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology from Uppsala University and additional studies in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Maryland.
